Tyre! Tyre.. I am very certain everyone knows what a TYRE is. But the truth is failure to maintain your tyre will eventually result in car damage, poor tyre maintenance can lead to premature tyre wear, a flat tyre or even a blowout. Caring for your tyres not only makes your vehicle safer to drive but also ensures your vehicle performs to its intended specs.
After all, tyres are what allow you and your vehicle to roll down the road. The main functions of a vehicle’s tyres include supporting the vehicle load, transmitting traction and braking forces to the road surface, absorbing road shocks, and changing and maintaining the direction of travel.
In Nigeria today, many car owners purchase tyres based on cheap price or appearance. But that shouldn’t be the case, rather tyre selection should be based on the correct size recommended for the vehicle and its load recommendations.
