Steps To Reset Maintenance Light In 2007-2011 Toyota Camry After Oil Change 

  • Step 1: Turn the key in the ignition

Put your key in the ignition and turn it to the “On” position to start the process of turning off the maintenance light on your Toyota Camry. Engine starting is not yet necessary.

  • Step 2: Find the trip meter button

Finding the trip metre button, which is often found on the dashboard to the right of the driving wheel, is the next step. One button controls the travel metre, and the other controls the odometer.

  • Step 3: Press and hold the trip meter button

You must push and hold the trip meter button until the display reads “0” in order to reset the maintenance required light. The “Tripod” button has a usual location on the dashboard.

  • Step 4: Turn the key to the off position

Turn the key to the “Off” position while continuing to hold down the trip meter button for a few seconds. Ensure that the ignition is off entirely before turning the key.

  • Step 5: Press and hold the trip meter button again

While simultaneously turning the key back to the “On” position, press and hold the trip meter button once again. Engine starting is not yet necessary.

  • Step 6: Wait for the maintenance light to flash

When the maintenance is necessary light starts to flash, keep holding the trip meter button. Up to 10 seconds may pass during this. You can let go of the trip meter button once it begins to flash.

  • Step 7: Turn the key to the off position

The next step is to turn the key back to the “Off” position once again.

  • Step 8: Turn the key to the on position

Turn the key one final time back to the “On” position. Resetting the maintenance necessary light should prevent it from turning on again until the time for your next scheduled maintenance.
