In a recent social media reveal, Nigerian auto influencer Ola of Lagos<\/strong> announced the arrival of the all-new 2025 Mercedes-Benz G580 EQ<\/a><\/strong> at Polanco Exotic Cars<\/a><\/strong>, a top luxury car dealership in Lagos. According to Ola, this is currently the first and only G580 EQ<\/strong> in Nigeria, and it\u2019s already turning heads for all the right reasons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With a staggering price tag of \u20a6650 million<\/strong>, the G580 EQ ushers in a new chapter for electric luxury vehicles in the country. For many Nigerians, the Mercedes-Benz G-Wagon has always represented status, wealth, and rugged durability. But the G580 EQ, Mercedes\u2019 first fully electric version of the G-Class, is rewriting that narrative with a futuristic twist.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to Ola, the most noticeable differences between this model and previous versions like the G550 and G63 AMG<\/a> start with the exterior styling<\/strong>. The grille has been redesigned, and the body now includes blue EQ accents<\/strong> that symbolise its electric drivetrain. There\u2019s also visible underbody protection that shields the battery\u2014yet another cue that this is no ordinary G-Wagon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“When you pop the hood, there\u2019s no engine. That\u2019s how you know it\u2019s fully electric<\/em>,” Ola explained<\/a>. Mercedes has maintained the rugged silhouette but overhauled what\u2019s beneath with next-gen electric technology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ola<\/a> also broke down one of the G580 EQ\u2019s most talked-about features: the G-Turn<\/strong>.
