Do you remember the Kia Forte? Well, it has now been updated and rebranded as the Kia K4, and it may be one of the most significant upgrades in the brand’s lineup. I will be able to see the K4 in person next week in New York, but for now, we have some sleek images of the new sedan. Its design features include unique thick D-pillars, LED lights, and funky wheel designs.
Under the hood, the Kia K4 comes with two powertrain options. The standard option is a 2.0L naturally aspirated 4-cylinder engine paired with a CVT, which produces 147 horsepower and 132 lb-ft of torque. The new option is a turbocharged 1.6L 4-cylinder engine paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission, which produces 190 horsepower and 195 lb-ft of torque. All powertrains are sent to the front wheels, and the K4 also features a multi-link rear suspension.
The interior of the car is a major departure from previous models. It features a new digital interface, a new squared-off steering wheel, and a traditional-looking shift lever.
It seems that the car has some physical buttons, and it comes with new interior colour options, such as Slate Green. Further details about the car’s specifications will be revealed soon. However, we can expect the pricing to start at less than $25,000. When it arrives in Nigeria, the dealers may market it for 35 to 42 million naira, with an inline-4 and hybrid option.
