The step up from the C-Class, at a proportionally higher running cost

The E350 is the C300's bigger, more composed sibling -- longer wheelbase, a noticeably more settled highway ride, and a back seat genuinely built for adults rather than children on a long Lagos-Abuja run. For a buyer who has already decided they want the badge, it is the more convincing car to actually live with day to day.
Older examples of this generation are worth checking carefully around the fuel system and seals, which are a known weak point as the car ages, and any factory air suspension is a genuine ownership risk if it fails outside warranty -- a repair that can run into money a Toyota owner would never have to think about. The same rule applies here as with the C300, just at a higher price tier: budget for German running costs honestly, or the badge stops being worth it within a year or two.
